Alannah Thornburgh is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer with a focus on traditional Irish harp. Alannah’s music explores her family’s musical heritage, reimagining ancient airs and tunes from the Irish harping and American folk and jazz traditions.

Alannah will be opening for ‘How I Became A Wave’ in the Dublin Unitarian Church.
Alannah will perform her suite ‘The Thinning Veil: Haunting Tales & Tunes of Fingal’ composed while on residency in The Carnegie with Fingal County Council.
Alannah will be performing in the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar with fellow Mayo musician Stephen Doherty.

Alannah will be teaching harp at Westport Scoil Cheoil.
Alannah will be performing at the O’Carolan Harp Festival in Keadue alongside Mel Mercier, Niamh O’Brien, Malachy Robinson and John Leonard. The ensemble will be performing ‘Sonóir’, a work composed by Mel Mercier and commissioned by Harp Ireland, for two harps, viol de gamba, bassoon and percussion.
